Session 3: The humble Path to Happiness

If you were to ask people, what do you think is the path to happiness? Most people would probably say something like this: get an education; get a job; get married; have a family; make a lot of money, retire. That’s the path to happiness. But I know a lot of people who have all those things and they’re not happy at all. The Bible says that the path to happiness is something you are never in your wildest idea going to imagine. The path to happiness is through humility. Deacon Dave will explore how humility can lead to our happiness.

Session 7: How to Keep from Stressing Out

This week we’re going to look at the classic text in the entire Bible on how to keep from stressing out. We’ve been in this series through the book of Philippians. As we come to chapter four Paul gives us in verses 6-13 the classic anti-stress management recipe. The key to this is that this passage actually comes with a stress management guarantee. It’s not guaranteed by a doctor. It’s guaranteed by God. So, you’re going to want to pay attention to this one if you want to lower the stress in your life. Deacon Dave will walk us through the recipe to keep from stressing out.

In chapter 3 Paul gives us another five habits of happiness. All five of these you can do on a daily basis during a fifteen-minute quiet time where you spend alone with God. If you’ll build these habits into your life the happiness in your life will exponentially grow. And the unhappiness in your life will decline. Session 5: Happiness can be learned

Actually, happiness can be learned. It is a quality that you can learn. There are certain qualities that if you learn them, your happiness in life is going to go up exponentially. Deacon Dave will discuss the four qualities you will need to build happiness.
