Session 4: How to Keep Your Heart Happy

This week we want to look at how do you keep your heart happy in spite of all the things that happen and all the things that cause you to spring a leak. How do you keep your heart happy? We’re looking at Philippians 2:12-18. In it, it gives us the examples of five of the most common ways that we lose our happiness. More important than that it gives us the antidotes, the cures, the remedies, the five cures to keep you from losing your happiness so often, so that your heart doesn’t spring a leak. Msgr. Raun will discuss how to keep your heart happy.

Session 7: How to Keep from Stressing Out

This week we’re going to look at the classic text in the entire Bible on how to keep from stressing out. We’ve been in this series through the book of Philippians. As we come to chapter four Paul gives us in verses 6-13 the classic anti-stress management recipe. The key to this is that this passage actually comes with a stress management guarantee. It’s not guaranteed by a doctor. It’s guaranteed by God. So, you’re going to want to pay attention to this one if you want to lower the stress in your life. Deacon Dave will walk us through the recipe to keep from stressing out.

In chapter 3 Paul gives us another five habits of happiness. All five of these you can do on a daily basis during a fifteen-minute quiet time where you spend alone with God.
