Actually, happiness can be learned. It is a quality that you can learn. There are certain qualities that if you learn them, your happiness in life is going to go up exponentially. Deacon Dave will discuss the four qualities you will need to build happiness.

Most people would probably say something like this: get an education; get a job; get married; have a family; make a lot of money, retire. That’s the path to happiness. But I know a lot of people who have all those things and they’re not happy at all. The Bible says that the path to happiness is something you are never in your wildest idea going to imagine. The path to happiness is through humility. Deacon Dave will explore how humility can lead to our happiness.

One of the common mistakes we all make is we fall into the trap of what I call When and Then thinking. In other words, when such and such happens then I’ll be happy. We fall into this when and then thinking. When I get into college… When I get married… When I have a baby… When I get a job… When my kids are born… When my kids leave the house… When and then thinking… then I’ll be happy. You’re as happy as you choose to be. Msgr. Raun will look at how we can be happy not matter what is going on in our lives.

If you want to be happy where do you start? What would you start with? Money? Sex? Time? What would you start with? You say, we need to learn how to be really happy in life. Paul starts with relationships. It is impossible to be happy while your relationships are unhappy.
