Our Gospel lesson for today is short, but packed with consequence.  Our Lord clearly foretells his coming death (to pay for our sin) and His resurrection (to give us life and victory). It is an amazing statement of truth, but instead of being curious, “they were afraid to ask Him” what he meant.  Instead, they started to argue over who was the greatest.  Jesus has much to teach us, as He then taught his disciples, about true greatness!
