Christmas Eve - Do You Hear What I Hear? Pray for Peace

Celebrate Christmas Eve with the sounds of Trumpet, Oboe, Guitar, Piano and Organ along with the voices of many as we come to give thanks and share in wonder the birthday of Jesus. Our theme is the Christmas Carol, "Do You Hear What I Hear? as we listen to the Angels and Shepherds and the silence then and now in a world that still needs the Peace only Christ can provide

This is the last week of Advent and today we light our 4th candle and celebrate the Shepherds and Angels as they proclaim that Christ, the Lord, has come for us today.

Hear (Joseph)

December 4, 2022 • Pastor Jim Mericle • 2 Samuel 7:8–17, Matthew 1:17–25

Today we focus on hearing the prophet Nathan telling David of a covenant God makes with him that his dynasty would be everlasting and rule with peace. And then in Matthew, we hear how a son of David, Joseph, who is engaged to be married to a young woman named Mary, has a dream where an Angel visits him and speaks to him and he hears the message that he should remain with Mary and the baby she is carrying, for he is the one who will save us and be God with us, restoring David's dynasty and bringing a Kingdom that has no end.

Do You Know What I Know?: See (John the Baptist and the Prophets)

Today we begin the season and Advent with our theme based on the Christmas Song, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Today we focus on See as we see what John the Baptist has been pointing too and see what the prophets have said about this coming Savior!
