Maundy Thursday

The beginning of the Great 3 Days, Maundy (Commandment) Thursday worship focuses on Jesus' last day as he gathers with the disciples for a Passover Meal. There is give the Command to Love God and One Another and used footwashing as a sign of that servant heart to others and the instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion when he Blessed Bread and Wine during Passover to be given to each of us to receive and have often as nourishment for our Spirit as we remember what sacrifice Jesus would make, what forgiveness and life he would share to all of us.

Celebration from the Wilderness: Palm Sunday

April 10, 2022 • Philippians 2:5–11, Luke 19:28–40

Today is Palm Sunday - a day of transitions! First, we celebrate with the crowds and proclaim, "Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest" as welcome Jesus as our Savior. We leave our wilderness with hope, anticipation and encouragement. But as time goes on, we begin to doubt and question and listen to the rumors of others and our faith in Jesus being in our lives is shaken. In the midst of all that, Jesus remains committed to us through death and life today and always.
