A big part of any story, is how Jesus comes to us where we are. He does not expect us to come to Him, but instead seeks us out in our darkest moments. This story is interesting because it is of a man who knew God first, then fell away. Even in the dark days of addiction, the power of Christ is on full display when you hear the story, and how He wept with His beloved int the midst of that darkness.

But when we get to the point of wanting to tell our stories, I believe that we get bolder because we continually tell the story of a powerful and rebellious God who desires for make us all flawless and bring us to true life. When we recognize this, we stop worrying about upsetting the status quo, and start seeing the world through the eyes of God. Some stories can be told about a certain moment in time when the "light went off." When God stepped down into our life and made a drastic change. It truly is incredible how you can really pinpoint that amazing moment, but not all stories are a moment in time. For many stories, it takes and entire lifetime to tell them. What if home was the place that you couldn't go back to? What if home was the place that brought more pain than healing?
