Song of Solomon 1-2:7 -- We must consciously decide to look past the ugliness of life and the world's standards, and learn to see ourselves and others as God sees us. Seeing beyond outward appearances allows for a spiritual and emotional attraction to grow. Solomon demonstrates we must come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing the imperfect person perfectly.
