“Can We Get Souvenirs?”

Extending our blessing is on the greatest gifts we can give our family. Summer is often when families take vacation trips together. These trips can be a great opportunity for families to spend time together, show each other love, and model grace to the world. This series discusses both the importance of family relationships, and how parenting is a way for parents to help their children understand God's grace and love. QUESTIONS FOR THE ROAD: 1. Read Psalm 146. What Blessing does this passage of scripture speak to you straight from the mouth of God? Take time and write it out as God reveals it to you. 2. In what way(s) will you extend your blessing to those in your family, or the New Family of Christ, this week? Be intentional in speaking life over them sooner than later!

What is your Vision for your family? What does thinking backwards from that vision mean for you practically? 2. How have you made your own devotion to God personal in a way that helps you model it to your children? 3. Read Deuteronomy 6:7-9. How will you create and set a rhythm that is intentional for growing spiritually and relationally?

In what ways have you valued Independence over Interdependence within the New Family of Christ? 2. What habits, attitudes or ways of thinking needs to change in you to begin to embrace Family Interdependence? 3. What, within you personally, gets in the way of you “Enjoying the Journey” with your New Family of Christ? 4. What needs to change in you, to begin to embrace enjoying the journey with family?
