It’s easy to think of doubt as a sign of weak faith. But it’s not. God isn’t afraid of our doubts, so we don’t have to be either. In the series, we’re creating a space for the questions we’ve been afraid to ask. Together, let's discover how doubt can actually build our faith.

Questions for the Road:

1. What is an area of your life that you may have fallen into the category of making “secondhand faith” with your trust in God?

2. What does it look like practically for you to avoid being passive in your doubt, or like Thomas, “keep showing up?”

Why Didn’t God Answer My Prayer?

The purpose of prayer isn’t to get God to do our will. Prayer cultivates relationship to know God more, and we do HIS will. It’s easy to think of doubt as a sign of weak faith. But it’s not. Together, let's discover how doubt can actually build our faith. Questions for the Road: 1. On a scale of 1-10, where would your rate your faith in the power of prayer? Why did you give yourself that rating? How can you move your answer closer to 10? 2. What does it look like to pray so that you can know God better? 3. How will you pray with that purpose in mind this week?

Why is God So Slow?

What if what we see as a setback is actually God’s providence in realtime? It’s easy to think of doubt as a sign of weak faith. But it’s not. God isn’t afraid of our doubts, so we don’t have to be either. In the series, we’re creating a space for the questions we’ve been afraid to ask. Together, let's discover how doubt can actually build our faith. Questions for the Road: 1. What does the word “Providence” mean to you? Reflect on a time that you can look back at as a testimony to ask God to “Do it again.” 2. Interrupt the Interruptions: What would it look like for you to practically “Be Present” in the unplanned/unexpected moments of in-between that God has brought you to? 3. Don’t give up, and do go it alone. Identify someone, or a group that can pray with and encourage you in this space of waiting. How soon can you reach out to them?

Following Jesus doesn’t mean absence of suffering, but it does bring the antidote to the evil and suffering we will all experience. It’s easy to think of doubt as a sign of weak faith. But it’s not. Together, let's discover how doubt can actually build our faith. Questions for the Road: 1. When life is hard and suffering comes what is your default - run away and hide or distract yourself. Try next time, to turn to Jesus through simple prayers of surrender. 2. Ask: What might God be trying to reveal about himself through the suffering you have been walking through? 3. How has this series helped change your thought process about doubt? Share with someone else what has changed and what God is revealing about Himself.
