Don’t Give the Devil a Guest Room

September 15, 2024 • Chad Garrison • James 4:1–2, Proverbs 29:11

You may have a right to be angry, but you don’t have a right to sin.

We all have moments where we miss the mark. Don’t measure up. Fall down. Yet God still loves us and is faithful to redeem and restore. In this series we’ll examine the ways we fall, and discover how God makes a way for us to rise up from them.

QUESTIONS FOR THE ROAD:

1. How does it feel to know that Jesus dealt with anger? What can you learn from the way He handled this emotion?

2. Read James 4:1-2. Think about the last time you were angry. Can you identify what the root of that anger was?

3. Reflecting on this message, in how have you given the devil a guest room in your life? What tangible action can you take to move towards mercy?
