Things are kind of crazy right now. Assassination attempt on our former president. Our current president visibly struggling to make coherent speeches. Both sides of our political parties vilifying the other and treating the other side as enemies, or it seems as such for the cameras and the news. But does it surprise you that this is where things are? Is it all that surprising?

After the assassination attempt many came out and said this should not be. That in this day and age we don’t settle our political differences this way but in the ballot box. What shouldn’t be, murder? Yeah of course, as God’s people we know this, in fact it made it on Gods top ten list of things to do and not do. the Bible calls them the 10 commands, do not murder number 6. This should not surprise us, but should confirm what we already know.

We need God’s kingdom. The world needs Jesus as it’s King and his kingdom come. You and I are to point the way.
