Breaking Bread

Summer Fellowship Gatherings!

May 28, 2023
12:00am - 11:59pm

Breaking Bread is a way of breaking out of our normal circle of friendship and to connect with some new friends at SW Hills while sharing a meal, fellowship, and conversation together. They will consist of groups of 6 – 8 adults (Plus kids!) and are held between June – August. This is a great opportunity to connect with others in our church, establish some relationships and friendships, We will put you in a group, but please register by May 28th so we can put groups together. Also, let us know if you would be willing to be a lead host/coordinator (Make initial contact , set up first get-together, and help schedule future meals), or if you might be willing to host at some point (At your house, a park, or somewhere else!). Don't feel like you need to have been at SW Hills for years to organize the group together or host! Click "Register Now" to let us know you're interested! More information is below: - Are kids welcome? YES! - What dates will our group meet? That's up to the group to figure out when/what works best, and whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner! - What will happen at the get-togethers? It’s all about getting to know other people of the SW Hills church body! The types of conversations and activities will be decided by the group. You may choose to play an icebreaker, board games, or just chat. The focus is on SIMPLE and getting to know others in the congregation from different age groups and life stages. - What does a lead host/organizer do? You are the point of contact for your group. You will make the initial contact with everyone in your group, set up the first get-together and ensure that subsequent meals happen. You will be given resources (guidelines, creative ideas, conversation starters) for your group to assist in the planning. - Why Breaking Bread? The early believers did, and we enjoy doing the same: "They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts" Acts 2:46
