Psalm 30 is different from most of the other psalms this summer in that it is written for a specific occasion. Verse 0 tells us that it is a 'song at the dedication of the temple'. Reading through multiple commentaries, there are at least four possibilities for this idea of a temple dedication. More than just the mystery of the context, Psalm 30 reminds us that God is worthy of our praise, he allows pain in our lives to draw us closer to Him, and he desires to shower us with His favor and joy. Join us on Sunday as we explore and examine this wonderful psalm of King David.
