As we continue through the Mark’s gospel, we arrive at the events immediately preceding the crucifixion. Betrayal is put into motion and in contrast faithfulness is displayed. Through all of it we will be encouraged to reflect on Jesus’ suffering for us, what has to be done to usher in the New Covenant, and how we ought to respond to that good news.
