Get ready for a night of racing, creativity and family fun at Cars & Kids, our South Shores Kids Pinewood Derby Night!
Every racer will receive a pre-cut Pinewood Derby car when they arrive. Kids and families will work together to assemble it, make it their own, get it race-ready and then see what it can do on our four-lane track.
No Pinewood Derby experience is needed, and there's nothing to build ahead of time. Our Pit Crew will be stationed throughout the event to help with design, wheels, tuning and inspection.
Dinner will be served while families work on their cars.
Then at 6:15 PM, it's race time!
Every car will get multiple opportunities to race, and we'll finish the night with six awards celebrating speed, creativity, design and some of the most memorable moments on the track.

IMPORTANT
Please do not bring a completed Pinewood Derby car from home.
All cars will be provided as pre-cut kits and must be assembled and decorated onsite during Cars & Kids.
Families should plan to arrive at 5:00 PM so racers have plenty of time to complete their cars before inspection closes. Race will start at 6:15 PM!
HOW CARS & KIDS WORKS
1. CHECK IN: Pick up your pre-cut car kit and racer number.
2. BUILD + DESIGN: Assemble your car and make it your own.
3. WHEEL SHOP: Install and adjust your wheels and axles with help from our Pit Crew.
4. TEST + TUNE: Make sure everything rolls smoothly before inspection.
5. INSPECTION: Cars are checked for weight, dimensions and race readiness.
6. IMPOUND: Once your car passes inspection, it's officially race-ready and stays with the Race Crew.
7. RACE! : Cheer as the cars hit our four-lane track!
