From Manger To Cross - The clarity of Advent will be revealed in the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that we have in Jesus Christ, from his birth, through his life, and even to the cross. In this service, we will humbly, prayerfully, and thoughtfully bring the season to its culmination in anticipation of the celebration of Christmas. Isaiah 9:2, 6-7, 35:5-6, 53:5 NRSV 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness— on them light has shined. 6 For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; 6 then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the speechless sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.
