Prayer Day 15

1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing." Today we pray that we would continue seeking the face of God together, trusting in Him to do for us and our world what we cannot do for ourselves. 1) For our sense of dependence on God to increase and remain, even as we anticipate the health crisis stabilizing, 2) For our eyes to be opened to the myriad of ways God has answered our prayers, 3) For all of God's people to give themselves to becoming a house of prayer, 4) For God to be greatly glorified and praised for all He's done.

Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, for the former things have passed away." Today we pray for those who have lost loved ones to the COVID-19 pandemic to be comforted. 1) Pray for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding to be given to those who have lost loved ones, 2) Pray for God to use the loss of a loved ones to bring many people to Himself, 3) Pray that we would have many opportunities with searching people to point them to Jesus, our Living Hope.

Luke 19:10: "For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost." Today we have the opportunity to pray for people to find Jesus. 1) For people who don't know Jesus to experience God's saving power, 2) For God to work through believers to shine the light of Christ during this time, 3) For God to make believers bold in reaching out to those who don't know Jesus around them, 4) For true and clear conversion leading to discipleship and disicplemaking.

Luke 24:5: "Why do you seek the living among the dead?" Today our prayers focus on the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. With the resurrection of Jesus, God's new world has already come. 1) Praise the Lord for the victory Jesus gives us over sin, death, and the grave, 2) Pray that because of the resurrection we would live our lives without the fear of death as we minister to those who don't know Jesus, 3) Pray that many would come to faith in Jesus during this time of health crisis.

John 19:42: "So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there." Today our prayers focus on this time of waiting in silence on Holy Saturday for the resurrection of Jesus. 1) Pray for God's people to wait patiently on the Lord to fulfill all of His promises on Easter Sunday, 2) Pray for God's people to be lifted by hope above our present circumstances, 3) Pray for boldness to invite people to watch service online.

John 19:30: Jesus said, "It is finished." Today our prayers will focus on the fact that Jesus entered our world to die for our sins so that He might ultimately create a new heavens and earth without death and disease. 1) For God's people to fathom the love and commitment of God to forgive and heal, 2) For God's people to find rest in the finished work of Christ while living in a fallen creation, 3) For many people to listen online this Easter and to respond to the good news of the resurrection.

Acts 13:47: "For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have made you a light...that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'" Today we have the honor of praying for our missionaries around the world. 1) For God to keep them safe, 2) for God to heal those who are sick with COVID-19, 3) For God to open new opportunities to share the Gospel, 4) For God to cause their light to shine brighter than ever before in the midst of this crisis.

Galatians 5:14: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Today we have the honor of praying for the people in our neighborhoods. 1) For your neighbors and the people in the neighborhood where you live, 2) For God to give you creative ways to reach out to your neighbors during this time, 3) For Mexico and Canada—the countries that border the United States, 4) For opportunities to share the gospel and to invite them to watch church services online.

Isaiah 40:31: "...but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Today we have the opportunity to pray for the healthcare workers in our community and across the nation. 1) Supernatural peace, courage, and strength, 2) Wisdom and direction on COVID-19 cases, 3) Provision for personnel and medical supplies, 5) Protection for them and their families.

Isaiah 41:10: "...fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God..." Today we are going to be praying for those who are quarantined and feeling alone. 1) That they would sense God's presence surrounding them, 2) That they would find hope through God's Word, 3) For those who are fearful to rise and walk in faith, 4) That God would provide them with connection to other believers.

Matthew 6:8: "...your Father knows what you need before you ask Him." Today we have the opportunity to pray for the financial needs of individuals and families. 1) For people to seek God and believe He will provide, 2) For unexpected financial blessing to come their way, 3) For the financial needs of small business owners, 3) For the people in need of work to find employment.

Hebrews 13:16: "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." Today we are praying for the community outreach that is happening in our area, across the nation, and around the world. 1) For the shelters and outreaches in our communities, 2) For those who are homeless and in need to find hope and refuge, 3) For the volunteers who are serving across our communities, 4) For the food, supplies, and resources needed to help people.

James 1:5a: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously without reproach, and it will be given him." Today we ask God for the wisdom to stop the virus. 1) For the virus to be stopped, 2) For the creation of a vaccine, 3) For wisdom for leaders, 4) For guidance in the decisions that are being made.

1 Timothy 2:1-2: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." We're so thankful for the opportunity God has given us to pray for our President and National Leaders. This is our privilege and calling. 1) Prayer they would seek God and have a strong personal relationship with Jesus, 2) Pray for their physical and emotional health and safety, 3) Pray for their marriages and families, 4) Pray for them to have wisdom from God as they lead our nation, 5) Pray for them to have faith that God is going to help them.

2 Chronicles 7:14: "...if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 1) Pray that we, the church, would understand the times we're living in and what God is saying to us, 2) Pray that God's people would humble themselves under the mighty hand of God, 3) Pray that God's people would wake up and get serious about prayer, 4) Pray that God would heal our land both physically and spiritually.
