More Than Conquerors
Messages from Romans 8
The Golden Chain
More Than Conquerors, Part 7 • June 14, 2020 • Jeff Daley
God has promised that He will take everything we encounter in this life—the good, the bad, the ugly—and use it for our good, namely that we would become like Jesus. Why? Because in eternity past, He unleashed an unbreakable chain of grace and kindness to guarantee that we will become like Jesus. This week we enjoy a panoramic view of God’s invincible work in His children’s lives.
God at Work
More than Conquerors, Part 6 • June 7, 2020 • Jeff Daley
This Sunday, we will continue in our More than Conquerors series with a message entitled, God at Work. We'll be in Romans 8:28, one of the most memorized and quoted verses in the entire Bible. Is it also one of the most misquoted and misunderstood verses in the Bible? We'll see how God works in our sufferings as we wait for glory.
The Spirit Groans in Prayer
More Than Conquerors, Part 5 • May 31, 2020 • Jeff Daley
Whether it’s from exhaustion, discouragement, or crisis, there are times when we are unable to pray. Or if we are able to pray, we don’t know what to ask. During these times when we feel especially discouraged and ineffective in prayer, we have an effective prayer partner who covers us in powerful prayer.
The Believer’s Glorious Groan
More Than Conquerors, Part 4 • May 24, 2020 • Jeff Daley
Because followers of Jesus have received the gift of the Holy Spirit, we groan as we long for all that our salvation holds. This week we consider the encouraging reality of what these glorious groans reveal about us.
More than Conquerors, Part 3 • May 17, 2020 • Jeff Daley
Though suffering is very real, believers do so with the knowledge that all of creation will be restored according to the promises of God. Therefore, while we wait for restoration, we wait in hope. A glorious day beyond all compare is coming!
More Than Conquerors. Part 1 • May 3, 2020 • Jeff Daley
This Sunday, May 3, we begin a new series called More than Conquerors based upon Romans 8. The Holy Spirit makes living the Christian life possible in spite of the flesh and the curse on creation; and the Father secures us from start to finish because Jesus died, was raised, ascended, and intercedes for us; and no one or anything can separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We look forward to diving deep into Romans 8 and the richness of the truths that it holds.
