September 28, 2021

Rom. 3:27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded. Through what kind of law? That of works? No, but through the law of faith.

Footnote 1:
27,1) It - Lit., It is completely shut out.

Rom. 3:28 For we account that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

Rom. 3:29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not of the Gentiles also? Yes, of the Gentiles also,

Rom. 3:30 If indeed God is one, who will justify the circumcision out of faith and the uncircumcision through faith.

Footnote 1:
30,1) out - Faith is the source out of which the circumcision, who already have the position as God’s people, may be justified by God; hence, their justification is out of faith. But as to the uncircumcision, who are positionally far away and are not God’s people, faith is the way for them to reach the position where they can be justified by God; hence, their justification is through faith.

Rom. 3:31 Do we then make the law of no effect through faith? Absolutely not! Rather, we establish the law.
