Have you ever asked, “God where are you” or “Why are you allowing me to go through this”? When we find ourselves walking through the desolate places of life we begin to think that God has either forgotten about us or is trying to punish us. In this message Pastor Erik teaches that God does not bring us through the wilderness to harm us, but to actually prune us. There is a purpose to the wilderness.

The Results of the Wilderness

Have you ever wondered why God takes us through the wilderness? It’s God’s process to mold us and shape us just like a silversmith does with valuable metals. What we often don’t realize is that It’s impossible to form a metal without first applying heat and removing the impurities. We want the finished product without going through the process. We want the results without the work and the blessings without the sacrifice. We can choose to allow God to form us through this process or continue to blame everyone else and stay stuck in the furnace. In this message Pastor Chris teaches that God’s fire is not meant to consume us, but to refine us.

Has fear ever stopped you? Our feelings have the power to strengthen our faith or to paralyze us. Our faith needs to overcome our fears or it can actually prevent us from experiencing the blessings God has for us. When God gives us a promise, He takes us through a process to build our faith and character to receive those those promises. In this message Pastor Erik teaches that what God originates, He also orchestrates.
