Philippians: The Christian Life Part 2

October 25, 2020 • Pastor Christopher Thompson

Last week we started our journey into the Christian life and saw that first, we need not be ashamed, that to Live is Christ, to die is gain and we finished with the joy that can be found in Christ Himself.
This week we continue to see what it is to live the Christian life in this creatively titled message:

The Christian Life Part 2

Philippians: A Church Planted

September 27, 2020 • Pastor Christopher Thompson

We have spent the better part of the past 4 months in the book of Galatians. In this book, the Apostle Paul has had some stern words for the Galatians as well as those who were leading them astray. Paul was in the position of a parent speaking to their child who was being led astray by “that friend.” You know that friend who for some reason your kid is listening to them despite their obvious ignorance about reality. This week we move into the Book of Philippians and I will let you know that this book should be much more encouraging, yet no less powerful. Just four chapters long, this book carries great power for the truth of Christ, but also incredible wisdom for living the Christian life. This week we begin with A Church Planted.

Philippians: Christian Community

October 4, 2020 • Pastor Christopher Thompson

This past week we opened our study of the book of Philippians by traveling back with Dr. Luke to the founding of the Church at Philippi and saw the direct intervention of the Lord that led to the miraculous conversions of both Lydia the Merchant and the Philippian Jailer. Now some 12 years removed from those events and The Apostle Paul sitting in a jail cell we begin our journey through the Book of Joy with a glimpse into “Christian Community.”

Philippians: That Christ is Preached

October 11, 2020 • Pastor Christopher Thompson

This past week we jumped into the Book of Philippians and saw a glimpse into Christian Community. That this community has order, focus, purpose, and power. This week we continue through verses 12-18 and see that Paul’s primary desire for himself and every Christian community is that Christ is Preached!
