Conflict is going to happen. It’s nearly impossible to have relationships with people and not have disagreements. Our different personalities, ideas, and desires can cause conflicts with each other often on a daily basis.
The question is not, “Will we have disagreements?” Rather, the question is, “How can we deal with disagreements in a way that brings glory to God and does not harm our friendships?” This is not an easy question to answer.
In this lesson, the children will learn from the story of Peter and the other disciples that there is a great model for how to handle disagreements biblically. We must not solve conflict and disagreements “man’s way,” but the “Bible way.”
Everything Is Better When We Work As A Team
June 1, 2024 • Pastor Tyler Loy
Throughout the church’s history, Christians have struggled to work together in unity. Individuals have strong feelings how we should go about accomplishing God’s work. Many times, those feelings and ideas differ from those of another Christian. Too often, Christians begin to fight against one another rather than working together in unity. Nothing causes more damage to the Kingdom of God than when the people of God begin to hurt and destroy each other.
God has given us all gifts, talents, and skills to use and build His kingdom. We must recognize that it takes ALL of us working together to accomplish God’s plan on this Earth. In this lesson, the children will learn from the story of Moses, Joshua, Aaron, and Hur what it looks like to work in unity.
I Connect To God Through Worship And Prayer
May 25, 2024 • Pastor Tyler Loy
Prayer is one of the ways we connect to God. Too many people make the mistake of feeling like they have to use big and impressive words for God to accept their prayers. The truth is, God wants to hear from us and speak to us - no matter how fancy the words we use.
Another key component of connecting with God is worship. Some think worship is only singing songs, but it is so much more than that. Worship is expressing our love to God in a personal and powerful way.
In this lesson, the children will learn that as Christians, we connect to God through worship and prayer. If we will make spending time with God a priority - even in the tough times - He will always listen and respond to our worship and prayers.
The Bible Is My Guide

Welcome to SLAM Online!
Many people think of the Bible as just a book of really good stories. Although there are many wonderful stories in the Bible, it is more than just a storybook. It is a powerful book than can change our lives.
Throughout the Bible, God gives us promises that He will heal us, help us, be with us, guide us, protect us, and much much more. He also gives us instructions to help us in our daily decisions. If we are going to grow in our faith in Jesus, we must make the Bible a part of our daily lives. We must read it, memorize it, study it, but most of all obey it.
In this lesson, the children will learn why the Bible is an important part of a “Rock Solid” foundation.
Families Must Be Healthy

Welcome to SLAM Online!
Children often have a difficult time honoring and obeying their parents. There is something deep inside every human being that wants to rebel against authority and do things his or her own way.
The Bible teaches that children must show honor to their parents in every way. Parents are worthy of the honor that their children show them.
Children must also practice instant obedience to their parents. Obeying is never easy, but it is always the right thing to do. Finally, when it comes to siblings, children must love them with all their hearts.
In this lesson, children will learn that honor, obedience, and love will help their families grow to be healthier.
Every Soul Matters To God
May 4, 2024 • Pastor Tyler Loy • John 3:16, Acts 10
Welcome to SLAM Online!
Prejudice is a major issue in America and all around the world. Many people treat others wrongly just because they’re different. It’s a sad part of this sin-filled world. As Christians, we cannot live like everyone else. We must completely get rid of any prejudices in our lives and become more like God.
In this lesson, the children will learn that EVERY soul matters to God - not just people who are like them or people they like, but EVERYONE! The children will learn through the story of the Apostle Peter that choosing to love only certain people or only sharing Jesus with SOME people is completely unacceptable. Christians must treat everyone the same. If every soul matters to God, every soul should matter to us!
