Dare to be Different
Dare to Live for God

Faithfulness is often hard to come by today. As believers we are called to live faithfully in every area of our lives. As we study the life of Daniel we can see how he lived for God faithfully in every area of his life. We must do the same and live for God personally, glorifying God in our private life. We must also live for God publicly and not be afraid to let the world see us live out our faith. Finally, we must live for God persistently even in the face of trial and persecution. (Verses Cited: Proverbs 20:6; Colossians 3:23; Matthew 5:37; Romans 13:1; Matthew 25:23; Proverbs 10:9; Matthew 5:16; John 8:4-6; Matthew 10:28)
Dare to be Humble

Humility starts with a realization of how much we need God. Humility comes with an exhortation to change. God will bring people into our lives who will call out our mistakes and call us to repentance. Failure to repent will be followed by humiliation. God often provides a “thorn” in our life that keeps us humble. God intends to bring us through humiliation to restoration. We must respond by recognizing our need of Him in our lives. (Verses Cited: James 2:21, 23; 1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22; Matthew 23:12; Revelation 3:15-16; Daniel 1:20, 2:47, 3:28; John 8:11; Exodus 18:17, 19; Matthew 6:8; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10)
Dare to Trust God

Sometimes life will bring us into situations that seem impossible to get through. Be patient because God could be working a miracle. God often uses these trials to free us from hidden bondage in our lives. God will provide divine protection as we persevere through these trials. We must remain focused on Him. How we deal with these trials can affect others who are watching us and point them to the Lord. (Verses Cited: Psalm 37:23; 2 Corinthians 1:8-10; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Corinthians 12:9; James 1:3; 1 Peter 1:6-7; James 1:4; Psalm 23; Hebrews 12:1-2; Colossians 3:2; Acts 7:60, 9:15, 19)
Dare to Be Faithful

In the world we live you will come across trouble and difficult times. This can happen even when we do everything right. Often during these troubles, the world will try and silence you and enemies will try and scare you. We have an opportunity to live out our faith and dare to be different. Dare to Give God Glory

Studies show that people who express regular gratitude in life are happier and healthier than those who do not. Expressing the same attitude of gratitude can help you with your relationship with God. • Give God glory in your petition: We can give God glory in our requests by making Him a priority and going to Him first. • Give God glory in His provision: When the Lord answers our prayer, give Him glory. • Give God glory by showing appreciation even in affliction: Often some of God’s greatest provision is seen when life is difficult. • Give God glory in your praise: when you praise God make sure it’s relational, not just theological. (Verses Cited: Psalm 33; Philippians 4:6-7; Romans 12:2; Matthew 5:16; James 1:6-7, 5:17; Philippians 4:19; Psalm 50:10; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Luke 17:12-17; Job 1:21, 2:10; John 4:19-24; Psalm 23:1)

Dare to Stand Out
March 10, 2019 • Collin Monger
The world and its morals are constantly changing, and people are expected to fit in with what is considered normal. God calls us to stand out from the world and follow Him. • Change in the world is constant. Culture and popular opinion are constantly shifting, often in a way contrary to the Word of God. • God is consistent. No matter how much the culture changes, God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. • The world will demand conformity. We will face constant pressure to fit in. We must dare to stand out consciously. (Verses Cited: Genesis 17:8; Exodus 6:7; 1 Peter 2:9; Leviticus 26:6-8, 30-33; 2 Kings 20:12-18; Isaiah 40:8; John 17:14; Romans 12:2; John 14:14)
Dare To Be Different
March 3, 2019 • Collin Monger
We live in a world where there is enormous pressure to fit in and conform. God calls us to live our lives different from the world. • Living differently is a choice: We each must make the personal choice to live differently for the Lord. • Living differently is a chance: We have an opportunity to show the world what a relationship with God looks like and make an impact on others. • Living differently is a challenge: Living different from the world is not easy. We must protect ourselves from the influences of the world by renewing our minds with the Word of God. • Living differently represents a fundamental change: A relationship with God changes the way we think and approach life.
