Plainly put, true wisdom is only found in a personal relationship with Jesus and when we receive Jesus, we are given the Holy Spirit. Paul says that we need God’s Spirit if we are to understand the gospel, if we are to have the message of the gospel, and if we are to make the right response to the gospel.
