Living Gratitude

November 20, 2022 • Pastor Noah O'Kelley • Exodus 15:19–21, Jonah 2:9, Job 1, Romans 6:23

As we close out our series, Mindsets, we’ll unpack the idea of having a mindset of gratitude. As the people of God, we have so much to be thankful for and the basis of our thankfulness should be rooted in the new life that we have in Jesus! As we approach Thanksgiving, a time in which Americans across the country pause to focus in on appreciation, we'll explore the biblical mindset of gratitude and how greatly it differs from the act of simply saying "thank you" to God and others.

A Mission Mindset

November 13, 2022 • Pastor Brett Capaci • John 9:1–11

As we continue in our “Mindset Series,” we examine what it looks like for us to have a mission mindset. The Scriptures say that Jesus came to earth on a mission: To seek out and to save all who were lost. This is the mission He has called us to as well: To love Him and to show and tell of His love to others.

Hope for Humanity

November 6, 2022 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • 1 Peter 1:13, Isaiah 9:6

As we continue in our “Mindset Series,” we examine what it looks like for us to have a mindset of hope. Hope is going beyond the evidence by faith and believing that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He’ll do. In a world that seems so hopeless, we have a hope that can carry us through.

How to Have a Servant Mindset

October 23, 2022 • Pastor Rodney Julian • Philippians 2:5–10

Pastor Rodney continues our mindsets series with a message on service. Serving is not just something we do; serving is who we are. We follow the example of Jesus, who was the greatest servant of all. In Scripture, we see that God is drawn to a servant mindset. If serving is beneath us, then we’ll miss out on some of the greatest blessings that God has for our life.

A Mindset of Peace

October 16, 2022 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Romans 12:1–2

This week, we’ll examine what it looks like for believers in Jesus to have a peaceful mindset. Stress seems to come naturally to us, yet peace is often hard to come by. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you have divine resources to help you in dealing with stress, and those resources are more than just therapy, pop-psychological fads, diets, and exercise regimens. Although those things can sometimes be helpful assets in handling things like stress and anxiety, as Christians, we have an additional and superseding resource—God's perfect peace.

Christ Over Culture

October 9, 2022 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Romans 12:1–2

As we continue in our current sermon series on “Mindsets,” we’ll examine the idea of a “Christ over culture” mindset. In Romans chapter 2, Paul tells us to renew our minds, not being conformed to the patterns of the world. We’re called to reverse or completely change our thinking and to focus our attention on Jesus as Lord and not the systems of this age around us.

A Heart of Worship

October 2, 2022 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Romans 12:1–2

A Holiness Mindset

September 25, 2022 • Pastor Bryndan Loritts • Psalm 51:1–6

We have all heard the phrase “It’s personal!” It’s a statement used to describe something that’s dear and at the core of a person’s feelings and/or convictions. This phrase is rooted and grounded in the human heart. In fact, most people respect a person who holds true to that which is personal. Likewise, having a biblical “mindset” must be deeply personal for the follower of Christ. It’s the only way to experience authentic transformation. In our passage today, we are going to see a Holiness Mindset from King David. His mindset comes from his personal failure. For David, getting right with the Lord is everything. Not only vertically before the Lord, but also before others. Let’s turn our attention to Psalm 51:1-6 and let David’s Holiness Mindset instruct us.

No Time to Waste

September 11, 2022 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Romans 12:1–2

How we think impacts how we live. Our mindsets can determine our future. That’s why Scripture has so much to say about thoughts, minds and perspectives.. In this message, we’ll take a look at how important it is to be intentional with our thoughts and attitudes. When we fix our minds on Christ and embrace his way of thinking, it leads to life and peace.
