Jesus Is Grace

May 28, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • John 8:1–11

Life is filled with messy situations. Disorder and chaos is all around us. In fact, we can look at ourselves and see that we are a mess. This doesn’t take God by surprise one bit. In fact, He alone entered into this messy world to redeem us in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is intentional with us. We see this reality emphasized in a profound way in our passage as we come to see that Jesus is grace. Let’s turn our attention to John 8:1-11.

Jesus Is Peace

Jesus Is Love

May 14, 2023 • Pastor Nathan & Justine Naoumi • 1 John 4:7–11

There is a saying that “hurt people hurt people.” In other words, if someone has been hurt, they have a tendency to turn around and hurt others. On the other side of the coin, this week’s sermon Scripture text shows us that, “loved people, love people.” 1 John 4:19 says, “We love, because Jesus first loved us.”

Jesus Is Healer

May 7, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • James 5:16

In the New Testament book of James, we see the spiritual concepts of both prayer and divine healing, and we seehow these two things are intertwined. Jesus Christ is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. He was a healerwhen He walked among us 2000 years ago during His earthly ministry, and He is a healer still today.

Jesus Is The Answer

Jesus Is A Friend

April 23, 2023 • Pastor Rodney Julian • John 15:9–17

Pastor Rodney continues our series, Jesus Is. This week we look at the fact that Jesus is a friend. He calls us to remain close to him in His presence. When we do that, we’ll produce the fruits of love and obedience and participate in God’s activity in the world. We’ll get to know the heart of God, and we’ll become more and more like him, our friend.

Jesus Is Freedom

April 16, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Luke 4:14–20

In this week’s Scripture text, Jesus quotes the Old Testament prophet Isaiah. In Luke chapter 4 verse 18, Christ essentially unpacks His mission statement as our Savior. He states that He has come to free people who are beggars, brokenhearted, bound, and blind. This is good news for every single one of us because (either literally or figuratively) we all fall into each of these categories. The entire human race is captive to sin, but Jesus has come to set us free!

Jesus Is Alive

April 9, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, 1 Corinthians 15:13–19

Death could not hold our Savior, Jesus Christ! After His gruesome crucifixion, Christ was sealed tightly in a borrowed tomb by a very large stone. But on the third day, He rose miraculously and victoriously from the sleep of death. Jesus is Alive! Yet, on this Easter we’ll consider a question posed by Paul in His first letter to the Corinthians: Suppose that the resurrection of Jesus had not happened? What if Easter didn’t exist?
