SAME- North

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever

Same Plan

March 5, 2023 • Pastor Brett Capaci • Jeremiah 29:11–13

As we close out our 6-week series “SAME,” we will examine one of the most amazing (and possibly most misunderstood) passages in the Bible. Thus, it’s so important that we understand and properly receive and process this wonderful declaration that God speaks over His children.

Same Promises

February 26, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Isaiah 40:8

As we continue in our sermon series called “Same” (exploring the unchanging nature of God), we are focusing this week on God’s eternal promises and His unchanging Word, the Bible. This is such an important subject because it’s impossible to grow in our Christian faith without a healthy relationship with God's Word.

Same Purpose

February 19, 2023 • Pastor Noah O'Kelley • Matthew 22:34–40

Matthew 22 is a popular passage in the life of the church. Jesus gives the two greatest commandments to His followers to live out, and it just so happens to be the mission of our church! As we navigate through Jesus’ words in the passage, we’ll see that the same purpose that Jesus gave to His followers in the New Testament is the same purpose that we live by here at Shadow Hills Church, which is to Love God and Love people.

Same Provision

February 12, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Matthew 6:19–21, Matthew 6:24–33

In todays Scripture reading, Christ gives us a beautiful dissertation regarding His consistency (or sameness) in the area of providing for his children. He addresses our human doubts and anxieties about whether or not God will come through for us when we need Him the most. And this entire passage (in the second half of Matthew chapter 6 is prefaced by Jesus talking to us about how we approach the area of personal finances. This week’s sermon explores 5 practical principles that can bring needed, fresh insight into how we should steward our money and the material things God has entrusted us with.

Same Presence

February 5, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • 1 Kings 17:8–16

It’s been said that “Scripture wasn’t given to us to worship truth. It was given to us to give us an accurate picture of the God of the truth!” Think about that for a moment. God wants us to not only know Him as we read His word. He wants us to experience Him in our lives. The key to this is His Presence. In our passage today, we see this Same God teaching Elijah some things that will serve us well in our lives.

Vision Sunday

January 29, 2023 • Pastor Nathan Naoumi • Hebrews 13:8

The Scriptures teach us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! All other things change over time, but we can be confident that Jesus, our God, never will. The reality is that change is simply a part of life. In a world that is ever-changing, often at break-neck speed, it’s amazingly reassuring to know that we worship a perfect, wonderful, gracious Savior who will never change!
