In this section, Paul lays a foundation for serving God in light of sure judgment. We will all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. And this section is intended to ready believers for that judgment—and the place where we are to be prepared is the local church.
Christian Conflict

In this passage, we are going to see that there are two ways—two worldviews—among mankind. There is the way of the flesh and the way of the Spirit. But that battle is still raging inside every believer—and we must learn to submit to the Spirit and crucify the flesh.
Our Emancipation Proclamation

In this text, Paul draws a line in the sand. One is either set free from the Mosaic Law—along with its demands and penalties or one is condemned. Any attempt to help God save us through our own efforts is not New Testament Christianity in Paul’s mind.
No Strings Attached

In this passage, we will see that God made Abraham a free promise—with no strings attached. Paul will make the argument that God didn’t change that deal after He had made it. Any supposed change by the giving of the Law is a misunderstanding in our minds.
Inconsistent Orthodoxy

In this passage, we find a man—an apostle, actually—who was orthodox in his doctrine. Peter’s theology was correct on paper. However, his actions conflicted with that theology and actually contradicted the Gospel. Though this is something we rarely think about—at least from the perspective offered here—there is much for us to learn today.
Paul's Autobiography, Part 3

In this section, Paul takes us to Jerusalem—into a private meeting with the leaders of the church there. He will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Gospel taught to him by Jesus is the same Gospel Jesus taught to the other apostles. We would expect nothing less.
