Why a Conference on Being Human?

In our day many of us feel overwhelmed.  We see the needs in our relationships, homes, work, Church, and beyond, and it overwhelms us.  Many either try to do it all, or completely give up and no longer participate.  So what might a healthy approach to expectations and life look like? The goal of the Christian life is not to be superhuman, but fully human. Sadly we have too often confused busyness with godliness. So in this weekend we will look at how our limits are not a design flaw in God’s creation, but part of the goodness of how he made us. We will also consider what faithfulness might mean amid our struggles with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed.
