We are so excited to be inviting you to River of Life’s FIRST ever Youth Conference on November 19-20, 2021. This is for every student in 8th-12th grade who can come expecting a weekend full of powerful Worship, life-changing messages, and many other surprises, or “twists” as we like to call them. This conference is being intentionally designed and created for the Students of Jacksonville and its surrounding areas. You know better than anyone that COVID has been crazy. In many ways it has felt like time stood still. We believe that even if every day life was seemingly put on pause, our students’ purpose and calling never was! That’s why the theme of this conference is It’s OUR time. We believe that each student will leave this conference with a new God-given vision for their lives, knowing that it is their TIME to walk in everything that God has for them. It’s going to be amazing and we want you and your students to join us! Below you’ll find as many practical details as we can think of to make this as easy as possible for you! A: Each student must fill out their own individual form. Once they have completed that form they can show up on November 19th and give our Check In Team their name. They will be given a wristband that will be their entry for the remainder of the conference. If you are a Youth Leader and want to attend with your students, simply indicate in all fields on the form that you are a Youth Leader. Q: What kind of lunch options will be available on Saturday and how much will it cost? A: We want to make this as easy as possible for our students and so our amazing Cafe Venue at ROL will have food available for sale. There will be several items on the menu so that students can remain on Campus for the day. We’ll also add that they won’t find better food or cheaper food out in town ;) Example Menu: Cheeseburger Sliders + Potato Skins + Drink Combo for $5 Cheese Pizza + Drink Combo for $5 Fried Chicken Sandwich + Potato Skins + Drink Combo for $5 Soft Pretzels for $2 Brownies & Mrs. Rhonda’s Famous Cinnamon Rolls for $2 Each Q: Can Parents attend the conference with their students? A: Unfortunately, not this time. We take our student’s safety very seriously, and because of that we only allow background checked adults or Youth Leaders to attend these type of events. Q: Can Students younger than the 8th grade or College students attend? A: This conference is specifically designed for our students in 8th-12th grade only! We have events for those in 5th-7th grade as well as graduated young adults at ROL, and for that, we encourage you to check out on our website: www.rolchurch.com Q: Will there be merchandise for sale? A: YES! We are so excited to have many different items at different price points for sale. Come ready to shop ;) Q: Are we required to wear face masks? A: As of now, face masks will remain optional. We want each student to feel safe and comfortable in our building and so masks will be available for whoever may want one, but not required. Q: What if a student leaves the property, are there safety measures in place? A: We take security very seriously here at ROL and always have security staff on site during Youth Events. However, if students drive themselves or contact their ride to pick them up, we will not stop them from leaving. While in our care, we do everything possible to protect each student, but once they leave the building, we trust their judgment and the judgment of those picking them up.
