Jesus said “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”, but it is still good to receive. In fact, it is healthy and right for each one of us to be served, healed and blessed. It is the nature of so many servants to turn away an act of service because we don’t want to be a burden to anyone else, but when we deny that blessing, we deny someone else the opportunity to serve the way God called them to serve. Galatians 6:2 tell us to “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” The implication is that if a brother is to bear another’s burden, the one with the burden must be willing to share it. We are called to live together, not alone. This series will hopefully encourage you to let down your guard, to open up to others who are trying to serve you, and to share your burdens.
