"Lord, I failed again."

Failure has different effects on people. Some are terrified about failure. Others are energized and challenged by it. But those who love the Lord greatly -- and still fail repeatedly -- have a difficult time dealing with failure. Failure makes them feel unworthy and unacceptable before God. Can they still be used by God? Do they still have a future as far as serving God is concerned?
"Lord, is there hope?"

Hope is very important in our lives. When we have hope, we can look forward to the future with great anticipation. We feel excited when we are hopeful. We make plans. We are confident. Life is good. But what if something or someone steals your hope away?
"Lord, I'm Stuck!"

Sometimes we feel that we are the only ones who are feeling whatever it is that we are feeling. We say, "No one can really understand me." But when we look into the word of God, especially the Gospels, we discover people who are just like us, experiencing the same thing as we are experiencing. We discover that we are not alone in our experiences. We discover that other people's stories can also be our story. How Jesus touched their lives can also be the way that Jesus can touch our lives. Their story can become our story.
