Desire to be Happy

Everyone wants to be happy, right? But what does it mean to be happy? If you attain your idea of happiness, will you really be happy? Many people sabotage their basic desire to be happy by looking at the wrong things (or people) to find their happiness. True happiness is found in an interactive relationship with God through a living and active faith in Jesus Christ. The key to happiness is not to set aside our desire to be happy but to listen to God and to seek Him. He is the Source of true happiness!

God's Desire for Us

We may have our desires, both good and bad. But God has desires for us as well. We must seek to fulfill these desires above all else. Doing so will help lead us to spiritual transformation and growth.

Desire for Significance

We all want to be significant. We don't want our lives to count for nothing. But this desire for significance can often lead us astray, especially when we think that our significance lies somewhere (or in someone) else other than God.

Desire for Love

We all have the desire to love and be loved. If this desire is met, so we think, we're happy and fulfilled. But if it's not, we feel sad and depressed. We feel that life is unfair. We become desperate for love. We manipulate people or demand that people love us or else. The result is a lot of unhappiness on all sides. Could it be that we misunderstand this desire?
