What is True Worship? | ECHOES: Catechism in a Year

Question 47 of our Echoes: Catechism in a Year series asks, 'What is true worship?’ Over this Thanksgiving weekend, centred around an experience of worship together, we take a look at three different perspectives of this question from a few key passages in scripture to discover that true worship takes us well beyond the gatherings we share over a weekend service. As Jesus followers, we are all challenged to look at every aspect of our lives and ask ourselves, are we giving lip service, or have we engaged our whole hearts in surrender that can be seen in action in deed in the way we live our lives.

Question 46 of our Echoes: Catechism in a Year series asks, What does it mean to glorify God? The words ‘glory’ and ‘glorify’ can be a bit imprecise and mystifying. In this message, we’ll use David’s story of attempting to transport the ‘Ark of God’s Glory’ to Jerusalem as the backdrop to understanding God’s glory. In the end, we will walk away with a clear definition and an even clearer understanding of how to practically glorify God in our lives!
