In the beginning God’s intention for humanity was that we enjoy him forever. However, endowed with free will we read in the book of Genesis that Adam and Eve sinned, which brought about a break in fellowship with God. Redemption is the story of God's loving response to humanity's sin by sending his son to forgive us and call us back into a relationship with him.
