2025 Riverstone Residency Class Audit: Biblical Worldview

May 26, 11:00am - July 21, 2025 12:30pm

Class: Biblical Worldview

Class Description: This class is based on the book The Labyrinth and the Lens: Reclaiming a Divine Imagination to Navigate the Chaos, explores how to navigate the complexities of modern thought with clarity and confidence through a biblical perspective. It examines the concept of worldview—how ideas shape history, culture, and individual lives—while guiding students to align their vision with God's original design.

The course is structured into three main sections:

Worldview and Wholeness of God’s Kingdom – Establishing a biblical worldview, tracing historical ideas, and understanding humanity’s role as image-bearers of God.

The Fracture: The Shattered World Through Sin – Examining the forces that distort reality (the world, the flesh, and the devil) and tracing the biblical pattern of brokenness from Genesis onward.

The Arrival of the Promised Seed: Restoration to Wholeness – Exploring how Jesus, as the fulfillment of Scripture, restores what was lost and offers a path of renewal through discipleship, the work of the Spirit, and participation in God’s Kingdom.

Throughout the class, students will engage with Scripture, history, and philosophy to see reality through the "lens" of Christ, gaining tools to discern truth, resist cultural drift, and embrace their calling as both kings and priests in God's unfolding story. The course challenges participants to think deeply, live intentionally, and reclaim a vision of life shaped by God’s Word and His Kingdom.
