Those Who Are Merciful

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” - Matthew 5:7 (NIV) 2 Ways You Can Be Merciful - 1.) Remind ourselves how merciful God is to us. “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” - Mathew 6:12 (NIV) “But God's mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great, that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved.” - Ephesians 2:4-5 (GNT) 2.) Remember, we will all face God one day. “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.” - 2 Timothy 4:3 (NLT) “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” - Matthew 6:14 - 15 (NIV) Let’s stand before God having loved too much than having judged too harshly. “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8 (NIV) “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” - 2 Corinthians 5:16-19 (NIV)
