WHAT IS BAPTISM? Baptism doesn’t save anyone, but the Bible teaches that when we become a follower of Jesus Christ, we should be baptized. More important than the type of baptism is our heart’s desire to be obedient to the example of Jesus in being baptized. Baptism services at River City Christian are unlike any you’ve ever seen! We invite your family and friends to gather around the baptismal as you are baptized. When you rise from the water, our whole church family celebrates with music and applause. WANT TO BE BAPTIZED? Please note that children in grades 3-5 are required to attend a three-part class prior to baptism on August 27, September 10, and September 17 at 11:30 a.m. in Room 110. An informational class for middle school/high school students and adults will be Sunday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. BAPTISM SUNDAY October 1, 2023 (all services) Teen/Adult Baptism classes (only one class is needed): -Sunday, September 17, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Room 215) or 5:00-6:00 p.m. (Room 205). -Teens/Adults must register by Sunday, September 17. Children's Baptism Class (must attend all 3 parts): -Sunday, August 27, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Part 1) -Sunday, Sept 10, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Part 2) -Sunday, Sept 17, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Part 3) -Room 110 -Children must register by August 27.
