This week opens our new series called “Beloved” talking all about different parts of our identity as the Church. Here are some reflection questions to think about as you listen!

Pastor Jacob mentioned that one word used for Beloved in the Bible is “divinely loved ones.” Do you feel Beloved by God today? Why or why not?

Living into our identity as Beloved children of God should encourage us to live transformed lives. Spend some time throughout this week asking God to show you where your life can be transformed to look more like an Image of Jesus.

God, thank you for creating us as your Beloved children before we ever did anything to deserve it. Help us to love others in the same way you show patient and gracious love toward us.

Saints

This week Pastor Cammi brings us a message from 1 Corinthians 1, all about our beloved identity as saints in God’s family of believers. Here are some questions to reflect on as you listen! If “Holiness is a community project” as we love and shine light into one another’s lives, what is one way you can be light to someone this week? When there is not harmony in the church, others can see it! Have you ever been able to sense discord or disunity among a group of believers? How did that make you feel about being a part of that group of people? How can you play a part in living in harmony with others? Pastor Cammi said that we are all “saints by calling,” which means we are made saints BECAUSE Christ has called us, as if it were something like a banquet invitation. Take some time to thank God for calling you close this week.

Multitude

This week, Pastor Jacob spoke about our communal identity as a “multitude” of believers. Here are some questions to reflect on or discuss with a friend this week! The church is meant to be a symbol of unity and fellowship- has this been your experience of church? Why or why not? God’s plan is to draw EVERYONE to him by grace- where have you seen God’s grace drawing you into his love in your own life? Take a moment and thank God for these memories! What is one thing you can do to contribute to the unity and fellowship of your community?
