Gospel-Driven Work

September 25, 2016 • Pastor Bill Riedel

The goal for this series as been to re-lay the foundation for who we are and why we do what we do as a church. So far we have seen the essential characteristics and need for gospel-centered worship and gospel-shaped community. In this sermon, we will see how the good news of who God is and what He has done for us, supremely in the person and work of Jesus Christ, drives us to join Him on His mission in this world. As we do so, we will touch down at several points in the book of Acts, particularly in chapters 10 and 11.

Gospel-Shaped Community

September 18, 2016 • Pastor Bill Riedel

Last week we looked at Gospel-Centered Worship, that the good news of who God is and what he has done, supremely in the person and work of Jesus Christ, is the center of all we do as a church and calls us to praise Him. This Sunday we will take the next step to see how that good news shapes the community of the church. We will settle into Colossians 3:1-17 to guide us as we explore the shaping effects of the gospel.

Gospel-Centered Worship

September 11, 2016 • Pastor Bill Riedel

God has called a people to Himself so that we can declare His excellencies. From the beginning it has been our vision to glorify God here in the heart of DC, with a fixed foundation in the Good News of what He has done, supremely through Jesus Christ. This Good News, or gospel, is the essential element of our faith and central to everything we do as a church. As God's people here in this city, we pursue God's glory through gospel-centered worship, gospel-shaped community, and gospel-driven mission.
