A restaurant or department stores primary goal is to create a mentality of consumption in order to draw us in for a profit. From sharing how an item will change our life to how a certain food dish will satisfy our hunger we are surrounded by consumerism. This culture of consumerism can easily transfer into the church and deter us from servitude that Christ calls us to.
