If we want to know anything about ourselves or what God intends for our most important relationships, we have to begin by understanding the God who created humanity in his own image. Our understanding of who we are intended to be as people, and how he intended us to relate to one another, begins with a God who is himself three distinct and eternal persons, so united that they can only be rightly seen as one.
In sermon 4 of our series, Pastor Jeremy walks through Genesis 2 to demonstrate God's intention for Adam to have a partner who was both distinct from him, and yet one with him. When no suitable companion was found amongst all the creatures of the earth, God creates a companion and Adam calls him Woman. Discover what that means for us, and how it points towards Jesus and the church, in this sermon, "God's Design for Marriage".

The command to honor our father and mother is given to us with a promise: that it will go well for us in the land God is giving us. The assumption is that the legacy that is left to us will be one worthy of honor; the question for us is whether or not we will leave that sort of legacy ourselves.

In part two of God's Design for Parenting, we consider how it is that we can fulfill God's intention that we raise our children to love God and build the culture. Paul's instruction may seem simple, but it points towards the lofty requirement of parents to demonstrate the love of God to their children and raise them to be Christ's disciple.
