As we attempt to imitate Yeshua with our lives it changes the way we relate as Husbands and wives, children and parents, and employers and employees. The Gospel must affect our relationships.

Careful How You Walk

As new humans we have to be careful how we walk with Yeshua. In Ephesians 5, Paul encourages us to understand how our choices to live differently reflect our actions and our faith. He encourages us to wake up and to make the most of the time we have been given.

Adulting vs. Adultish

"Adulting" means to behave in an adult manner; engage in activities associated with adulthood to behave like an adult. God wants us to become fully devoted followers of Yeshua who are growing towards spiritual maturity. This means making "grownup" choices that lead us away from isolation and into community.

When we come to faith in Yeshua he makes us new humans. As new humans we become less interested in our selves and more interested in how we can serve others. As new humans, filled with the Holy Spirit, we must ask ourselves in any and every relationship and situation, "what does love require of me?"

Identity in Messiah

Old Self, New Self
