The Names of God
Enough
February 20, 2022 • Chris Heller
More than ten years ago, we began taking one week toward the beginning of each year and dedicating it to preaching on prayer, teaching on prayer, and providing interactive opportunities on campus throughout the week for prayer. Week of Prayer has now become an anchor in our church, and we look forward to spending this year with you as we focus on the many names of God. Join us as we introduce our next sermon series, “Majestic! 1,000 Names”.
El Gibbor
February 27, 2022 • Chris Heller
Have you ever heard someone say, “You need to let God fight this battle for you”? Or, maybe someone has offered the calming reassurance that “God is fighting battles for you that you don’t even know about.” Have you ever thought, “What does that look like? How does that work? How do I ask the Mighty God to fight my current battle”? This message will hone in specifically on El Gibbor, the mighty God, the battle God, the warrior God, the God who fights for us, with us, and through us!
YAHWEH
March 13, 2022 • Chris Heller
Join us as we travel back to the burning bush and hear Moses ask the God of the universe, “If they ask me 'what is his name?', what shall I say to them?" God replies to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” If you have ever felt called by God to do something for him, yet pulled by the temptation to run from that call in fear, join us for a great encouragement from the name, YAHWEH!
Jehovah

Adonai
March 27, 2022 • Chris Heller
This message will dive into another Hebrew name for God, “Adonai.” God is the Master and majestic Lord. God is to be our total authority. Join us as we study this name through the lens of the prophet Jeremiah, a man who was commanded by his ‘Adonai’ to obey his master's calling, even though it would be met with much difficulty and opposition.
Abba
April 3, 2022
Jesus opened the door for His people to enter into the throne room of the Creator and call Him Dad. Because of Jesus, Christians enjoy a deep fellowship with God as their Father! We look to our dads for many things: comfort, safety, advice, and love. Our heavenly Father perfectly gives us all these things and more! Drawing from Romans, Luke, Matthew and Hebrews, we will rejoice in our adoption into God’s family and reconnect with our loving, generous, invested Father.
Jesus, Messiah
April 10, 2022 • Chris Heller
We now turn our attention to the matchless names of Jesus! We will follow the Messiah’s triumphant ride into Jerusalem, which we commemorate as Palm Sunday. We will evaluate this significant event from the perspectives that best manifest four of His great names: Lamb of God, Lion of Judah, Author and Finisher, and of course, Jesus Messiah!
