OUTLINE: Put off the old person that is tempted towards sexual immorality and greed. This is not who you are. You are saints. Remove from your language anything that degrades others, smacks of discontent, and puts you at the center. Instead, fill your mouth with gratitude. To do anything else is idolatry. And don’t forget that those who worship another image/idol will be ruled by that image, not Jesus. If you crown yourself as king, you’ll find that you’re living alone in another world, another kingdom, and you’ll reap the benefits only of your self-made kingdom. But remember, you are saints! This isn’t you! Watch out for those who say otherwise. The wrath of God, that has been righteously satisfied for you through the love of Jesus, will be their inheritance. The inheritance of worshiping self, into self-destruction.
