MAIN POINT: "Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus. It’s evidence of salvation, not a requirement for it." KEY VERSE: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19 CHALLENGE QUESTION: "If you’ve put your faith in Jesus but haven’t been baptized since, would you take the next step to be?" SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: Matthew 28:19, Mark 7:4, Luke 11: 38 SUMMARY: Originally, "baptism" was not a religious concept. Yet over time, baptism has become an exclusively religious idea. Are you confused about what baptism is all about? Does it seem like a weird practice? Unsure if baptism is a next step for YOU? In this sermon, we explore the purpose of baptism, what Jesus and the writers of Scripture had to say about it, and why it’s so important for us today!

Blessed are the Meek

As we continued in week 3 of our Blessed series, we discovered that God has real blessings for those who are living a life He wants to bless. This week we explored Jesus’ statement: “Blessed are the meek.”

Blessed are Those Who Mourn

MAIN POINT: "God blesses those who turn to Him in the midst of their pain." KEY VERSE: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." – Matthew 5:4 (NIV) CHALLENGE QUESTION: "How do you need to turn to God in the midst of your pain?" SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: Romans 5:12, Matthew 7:7-11, Matthew 6:33 SERIES SUMMARY: The phrase #blessed has flooded social media posts everywhere but doesn’t depict the true meaning of the word blessed as God intended. Being blessed by God is a real thing and means true life that can only come from God Himself. God desires to bless our lives when we live according to His will. So how do we do that exactly? Jesus taught the key to living a blessed life. Last week we studied that those who are poor in spirit are blessed. This week, we take a look at mourning and what it means to turn to God in the midst of our pain.

In this series, we discover that God’s blessing is a reality, but it won’t happen by accident.
