Main Point: “When we do what we can do and trust God to do what only He can do, our faith grows." Key Verse: “'Lord, if it’s you,' Peter replied, 'tell me to come to you on the water.' Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus." – Matthew 14:28-29 (NIV) Challenge Question: “Would you be willing to trust God by doing what you can do, so He can do what only He can do?” Series Description: Your trust in God matters to God. In fact, God is most honored through your living, active, death-defying, out-of-the-box trust in Him. That being the case, he's committed to growing it. Big. Imagine how different your outlook on life would be if you had absolute confidence that God was with you? Imagine how differently you would respond to difficulties, temptations, and even good things if you knew with certainty that God was in all of it and was planning to leverage it for good. But just as much as Jesus wants us to experience the life only he can give, there is an enemy who wants to take that away. And Jesus said that this enemy, the devil, comes only to steal, kill and destroy. This week, in part three of our series, we focus on our physical bodies. Why? Because our bodies, created by God for the indwelling of His Spirit, affect us both physically and spiritually and will be under attack. So, we’ve got to protect our bodies.
