Gospels: Jesus Comes

The Story of Redemption

August 11, 2013 • Ronnie Rothe

Main Point: "Jesus comes in fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies of a savior and offers salvation and the true Kingdom of God. While some accept Him, most reject Him, and He is crucified, buried, and resurrected."

Memory Verse: "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." – John 20:31 (NIV)

Series Description: The Bible is our source of truth. It's the basis for our songs, sermons and small groups. It's a vital part of having an interactive relationship with Jesus. But the Bible is also really complex. Many of us don't know where to start. So we don't. If we can understand how the Bible is put together, then the overall story will become clearer, and we'll be better equipped and more willing to actually read it. This summer, we're truly slowing down, growing deep, and developing a better overall understanding of the most important story ever told.
