Prayer: How?

Horns can come in a number of varieties and can be used for a number of things. We can toot a horn to say hello, or “The light is green.” We can lay on the horn when trying to get someone’s attention. Some of my favorite music is big band music and you can’t have big band music without a horn section. When someone learns the trumpet, tuba, or trombone it can be hard to listen, but Jazz would never be Jazz without the sax. The bugle has been used for centuries to announce an attack, or a retreat. If you grew up watching Westerns then you know the Calvary always announces their entrance with a horn. God seems to be highly in favor of horns and trumpets in particular as they announce the falling of a wall in Jericho, or the coming of Christ at the end of the age. Just like horns there can be different reasons to pray, different methods of praying, and different results from praying. But one thing today is clear churches, communities, and countries can’t achieve their potential without prayer.
